![]() The good news is, whichever of the three you get, your ears will be super pleased with you. Dodge offset and wicked weaves were still a lot of fun to me. It's also, unfortunately, seen as somewhat of a step back from its predecessor in mechanics, but as someone who isn't a genre aficionado, this wasn't readily apparent to me. EDIT: I make it sound as though Bayonetta 2's only detractor is its length, but that's not quite true. ![]() If you're the type who enjoys mastering action games, there's plenty here to love. But it is a shorter game if you're not the type to replay action games over and over. I think you know what you're getting here, and it's a fun one of those, and very pretty. There's also still some UI clunkiness and management sim duldrums, even after a great deal of patching.īayonetta 2 is Bayonetta 2. The gacha blade collection element, the slow combat at the start, and the revealing female outfits will turn many people off, though. The combat gets really fun, but it starts pretty dull. Xenoblade 2 has a hype as fuck anime as fuck story, lasts upwards of 60 hours. (Xenoblade Chronicles 2 vs Overwatch) Lila vs Dystnine (Xenoblade Chronicles 2 vs Azure Striker Gunvolt) Azurda vs Igneel (Xenoblade Chronicles 2 vs Fairy Tail). It has minimal interaction between protagonists though, and the chapters seem formulaic enough that I was turned off it. Adenine vs Cyrus (Xenoblade Chronicles 2 vs Octopath Traveler) Red vs Santiago (Ruby Quest vs Nan Quest) Poppibuster vs B.O.B. It's a 50+ hour romp with minimal grinding. Octopath has charming graphics and a delightful OST, with some cool combat mechanics. There are reasonable complaints with all of them. I can't speak to the quality of one being greater than any other. Also, Octopath Traveller which came out back in July had managed to reach over one million copies worldwide and was awarded Best RPG at the 2018 Game Critics Awards. All three are great games, but they suit different tastes. Since its release Xenoblade Chronicles 2 had reportedly managed to sell over 1.5 million copies worldwide since its release back in December 2017.
